Another day of Macworld|iWorld, and another new app discovered at the show. Likes! was released just three days ago, and as you probably guessed from the name it’s all about Facebook Likes. Unlike other Faceboook connected apps that require your friends to have the same app installed, Likes just aggregates the data from the web in a streamlined package. The app sorts through all of your friends likes, and delivers the results in a categorical view.
You can find what your friends like in terms of places nearby to help you pick restaurants, hotels, entertainment, and more when in a new location or even by your house. The app also shows the most liked movies & TV, music, sports, products, and more. It’s effortless to access all of these different areas, and each list is sorted by the most likes of just your friends. The app’s focus is finding suggestions from people you know rather than stranger reviews from other sources. You can also like any of your friends’ likes from within the app, and see who in particular liked each item.
The more you use Facebook, the more valuable this app can be, and it’s now available for free. It would be nice to see app likes connected as well, but it’s not yet available.
