Remote Conductor was an outstanding app when we reviewed it, and has just been updated with some nice new features. The update also includes a name change so the app is now RC Trackpad. If you’re unfamiliar with the app, it allows you to control your computer using your iOS device with a trackpad, app launcher, and app switcher. The biggest new feature is that the app is now compatible with all of the multi-touch gestures in Lion.
You can now activate mission control, launchpad, and switch between spaces with the three finger swipes you’re used to. There are 20 different gestures built in, and you can customize them all to apply to the actions you want. Another new feature is media playback controls allowing you to pause, play, and skip the music on your computer. Also included, are new mousepad wallpapers for the trackpad, launcher, and switcher, plus you can add you own photos. The keyboard has also been extended with six sets of new keys for 72 extra keys, that you can access by scrolling the top bar on the keyboard.
RC Trackpad version 2.0 is a great update that makes this app even more worth it than it already was. Also, to update our review, I have to mention that you can switch between trackpad, application launcher, and switcher with a four finger swipe which is great.
RC Trackpad for iPad ($6.99)
RC Trackpad for iPhone ($2.99)
