Ready For The iPhone 5 In Early October? Report Claims AT&T VP Confirms Timeframe To Employees

As Apple stays mum about anything regarding a new iPhone, it’s left to multiple media outlets to speculate about Apple’s plans. Today, BGR is reporting that the iPhone 5 is coming in early October at least according to AT&T’s Vice President. It’s a brief rumor according to one of their high-level AT&T sources,

One of our high-level AT&T sources just informed us that an AT&T Vice President has confirmed to several employees that the iPhone 5 is slated to launch in early October. Additionally, the VP communicated the following to a group of managers: ‘Expect things to get really, really busy in the next 35-50 days, so prepare your teams accordingly.’”

The report doesn’t pinpoint anything too specific, but if you look at the period 35-50 days from today it gives you September 25th to October 10th. Most of the rumors point to that timeframe, so I hope you’re ready for a new two year contract around that point. This report is made more interesting because shortly after it was posted, The Loop’s Jim Dalrymple simply quoted it, and added a one word response, “Yep”. Jim Dalrymple is known for really good Apple sources, and has shown to be nearly an unofficial outlet for Apple. He also was the sole person responsible to kill the September 7th media event rumor last week.
