WatchOS 3 Is Now Available For Update

WatchOS 2 was announced in June, and now three months later it’s available to download for everyone. It’s the second major update for the Apple Watch, and it launches concurrently with iOS 10. If you have an Apple Watch, you can now update to WatchOS 3. Simply go to the Apple Watch app, General, Software Update, and let the process commence. Apple has officially released watchOS 3, but there will be server strain in the first few hours after 10AM Pacific, so keep that in mind.
WatchOS 3 revolves around speed improvements when using Apple’s smart watch. The biggest change is new instantaneous app launch. The apps are updated in the background automatically, so that they’re always ready to present the latest information, rather than the loading circle. There is also a new Apple Watch dock to work like multi-tasking on iOS. The watchOS 3 update also includes all new watch faces that you can swipe to switch between, rather than force hold. One new watch face simply shows your three activity rings full screen. Speaking of activity, you can now share, compare, and compete with family and friends for activity tracking. Messages also gains improvements to adopt some of the fancy new features of iOS 10 messages. WatchOS 3 also includes a brand new app in the form of Breath to help you relax.

We will have in-depth walkthroughs, and analysis of the biggest new features throughout the next few days, so stay tuned.
