Apple Sends Invites For September 12th iPhone 8 Event

This morning, Apple sent out invites to members of the press for their next event. As widely anticipated, the event will fall on September 12th at 10AM Pacific. The official invite comes with the tagline, “Let’s meet at our place”. The iPhone 8 event will also be held at the brand new Steve Jobs theater at Apple’s new campus.

The September 12th date has been widely speculated, and now Apple has official confirmed it, just under two weeks before the event. The main star on September 12th will be the brand new iPhone 8, or possibly “iPhone Pro”, that will feature an edge to edge display, OLED screen, wireless charging, facial recognition, and more. The display will be similar in size to the 5.5′” iPhone, but with actual device size closer to the 4.7″ iPhone. Speaking of which, the existing iPhone 7 models will likely see an “S” style upgrade this year with improved processor, camera, and possibly wireless charging.

The iPhone won’t be the only new item for the event. Apple will likely release a third generation Apple Watch with an LTE chip to let the device not be completely reliant on the iPhone connection. The Apple TV is also headed for an upgrade with 4K capabilities probably coming. The HomePod may gain further details at this event as well as the iMac Pro. Of course, we will also hear the final details of iOS 11, macOS High Sierra, watchOS 4, and tvOS 11.

Be sure to join us on September 12th as we cover everything that Apple announces.
