Today’s iPhone, iPad, and iPod touch apps for free daily include a endless digger, recording app, first person tower defense game, and 3D dinosaur hunter game. A number of apps drop from paid to free on a daily basis, and we pick the top four everyday, as many of the others aren’t worth your time even for free. Everyday we try to pick apps that are worth spending money on, but are now free to download, and here they are.
Super Mole Escape ($0.99 -> Free, Universal) [Review]: A high speed endless digger where you play as a convict mole who’s trying to dig to escape through various underground environments, with a mole cop in hot pursuit. You launch downwards, and the gas pedal is never released as you accelerate with bonus speed boosts for collecting coin groups. There are tilt or touch controls to stay on the main dirt track, avoid rocks, and collect coins and power-ups.
Recorder Pro ($0.99 -> Free, Universal): A recording app that lets you record and manage your audio files in every way imaginable. After you record any audio file you can sync with iCloud, over WiFi, with Dropbox/Box.net, or over USB. You can also move, copy, mail, zip, and more with your audio files through the deluxe file manager.
Commando Jack ($0.99 -> Free, Universal) [Review]: A tower defense game with a twist, as players are not only the generals of what is going on around the battlefield, but have the ability to actually jump in behind a turret and let off a few rounds themselves. Many tower defense games are about an epic battle between two factions, and Commando Jack is no different, pitting humans against aliens in a war fueled by jealousy. Like any other game in the genre, the point is to build intricate mazes across the screen to fight off multiple waves of enemies, and the optional first person perspective changes things nicely.
Carnivores: Dinosaur Hunter Pro ($2.99 -> Free): A 3D sniper hunter style game that is set in a pre-histporic world. You’re going after really big game including triceratops, stegosaurus, pterodactyls, and more. There are two different game modes, and a huge 3D world to explore.
