Everyday we try to pick apps that are worth spending money on, but are now free to download, and here they are.

Green Riding Hood ($2.99 -> Free, Universal): An interactive storybook app for kids that is a spin-off of the classic Little Red Riding Hood. It’s modern retelling complete with animations, mini-games, and even grandma’s cooking book. There’s deluxe voice over, and in this edition the wolf doesn’t eat anyone.
Toca Kitchen ($2.99 -> Free, Universal): Another kids app from Toca Boca that focuses on playing with foods, and working in the kitchen. There are 12 different ingredients that can be prepared in 180 different ways as you slice, boil, fry, cook, microwave, and mix all with intuitive touch controls.
Magical Mental Math ($0.99 -> Free, Universal): An educational app that tasks kids ages 8-12 to cast spells with addition and subtraction to transform the given number. There’s an adventure mode with a series of math challenges, as well as a survival mode that presents a race against the clock.
Meeting Box ($2.99 -> Free, Universal): A deluxe note taking app that supports text, sketches, photos, maps, webpage annotation, and task manager all in one. The app is feature rich, and then there’s a smooth interface to add the various elements, and the app also includes highlighting, PDF export PDF, and an advanced drawing engine.
