Today’s iPhone, iPad, and iPod touch free apps daily include a video editor, tower defense mash-up, slick puzzle game, and dark puzzle game. A number of apps drop from paid to free on a daily basis*, and we pick the top four everyday, as many of the others aren’t worth your time even for free. Everyday we try to pick apps that are worth spending money on, but are now free to download, and here they are.

MovieSpirit ($6.99 -> Free, Universal): A movie editor app with a layered editor timeline allowing you to combine videos, photos, text, and transitions. The app also supports video in video effects, and it’s easy to insert slow and fast motion effects.
Onion Force ($2.99 -> Free, Universal): A mash-up of tower defense and action adventure presented with finely crafted cartoon artwork to depict a diverse cast of characters. There are 30 levels included spread across six worlds with levels alternating between the two gameplay styles. The game also includes three playable heroes.
Open Bar! ($1.99 -> Free, Universal): A slickly presented puzzle game in which you line up bars to clear the puzzle on hand. There’s an endless supply of puzzles with each one offering a bite sized challenge, as you can complete any given level in three moves. You can also unlock digital cocktails as you complete levels.
Morph ($0.99 -> Free, Universal): A puzzle game in which you need to guide a cute little creature to the exit portal in each level. There are three stars to collect per level with numerous obstacles to avoid as you flip to all four sides of the level that is self contained on screen.
