Today’s iPhone, iPad, and iPod touch free apps daily include an expense tracker, focused calendar app, interactive storybook, and educational app. A number of apps drop from paid to free on a daily basis*, and we pick the top four everyday, as many of the others aren’t worth your time even for free. Everyday we try to pick apps that are worth spending money on, but are now free to download, and here they are.
*Price drops are temporary, and usually last for just 24 hours, so be quick to download.
Wealthy! ($0.99 -> Free, Universal): An expense tracker that presents a timeline view of your transactions first and foremost. The app also makes it easy to input new transactions as you simply enter category, price, and then you’re done. You can also check a financial report, as well as add a photo to any of your entries.
History Events Today ($1.99 -> Free, Universal): A neat utility app that provides historical events for each day of the year. There are over 100,000 events, births, and deaths available offline, and most have accompanying Wikipedia hyperlinks for more information when you’re online. You can check in everyday, or on specific days with specific meaning to you, and then share anything you come across.
Beauty and the Beast ($4.99 -> Free, iPad): The classic fairy tale with original illustrations updated for the iPad. The app includes tilt and touch controlled physics elements, touch animations, drag-able character cutouts, and detailed soundtrack and effects.
Grandpa’s Worksjop ($1.99 -> Free, Universal): An educational app that offers seven different mini-games with positive feedback from a grandpa character. The app tests numbers, measurements, colors, vocabulary, and more in a set-up for kids ages 2-6. There are also videos of tools in action, spot the difference puzzles, and fractions.
