iOS 10 Is Now Available For Update

iOS 10 was announced in June, and now three months later it’s available to download for everyone. The new iOS is compatible with the iPhone 5 and newer, iPad 4 and newer, and iPod touch 6th generation. The full feature list includes over 200 additions including enhancements to Messages, the lock screen, and Siri. Messages include all new ways to communicate with added emphasis, stickers, emoji replacement, invisible ink, and background animations. The lock screen has received an overhaul to offer interactive notifications with support for 3D touch, photos, videos, and third party developer support. Siri has also gained third party developer support allowing you to use your voice to interact with your favorite apps as they’re updated. The iOS 10 update also includes improvements to Maps, Music, Photos, and News.
To update to iOS 10, simply go to Settings > General > Software Update, and iOS 10 should pop up with an “Update Now” tab as it propagates to servers. You can also perform the update on your computer by plugging in your iOS device, going to iTunes on the device page, and then click “Check for Update”. Apple has officially released iOS 10, but there will be server strain in the first few hours after 10AM Pacific, so keep that in mind. Be sure to back-up your device before starting the update, and if possible try to clean up some space to delete apps you no longer use, and remove some unnecessary photos and videos.

We will have in-depth walkthroughs, and analysis of the biggest new features later today, so stay tuned.
