Apple Releases New Quad-Core, Thunderbolt iMacs

Apple has just updated their iMac line to bring the feature set up to date with the MacBook Pro line. The all-in-one desktop will now feature quad-core Sandy Bridge processors across the board. Also included is the new Thunderbolt I/O port which offers up transfer speeds of up to 10GPs. The iMacs are also getting new AMD Radeon GPUs, which are three times faster than their predecessors.

The monitor of both screen sizes are LED backlit with the 21″ screen having a 1920 x 1080 resolution, and the 27″ having a 2560 x 1440. The new models also feature the new HD Facetime cameras like in the new MacBook Pros. One interesting inclusion is the option of a Magic Mouse or Magic Trackpad with your new iMac.   • AMD Radeon 6770M with 512MB or 6970M with 1GB
