There’s nothing quite like tossing a plastic disc, and watching it glide through the air. Now you can have that experience on your iOS device thanks to Frisbee Forever, which is officially licensed from Wham-O. The game is more than just tossing a Frisbee around, thanks to levels upon levels of complex courses. You swipe to toss the Frisbee and then tap or tilt to guide the Frisbee through hoops, collect stars, and reach the finish hoop.

There are nine different locations with 12 courses each, giving you a plethora of content for the outstanding low price of free. Every time you play, you earn star points which are used to unlock new locations or new Frisbee designs. There are in-app purchases to get star points quicker than playing, but they’re unnecessary to completely enjoy the game. It’s great when a free game has in-app purchases that feel optional rather than an obligation.

Every single course plays different with all kinds of crazy layouts of hoops and stars. There are speed boosts, loops, and spirals that your Frisbee will pass through, which really exemplify the imagination of the game. The game is most reminiscent of Skee-Ball, with a real game digitized for iOS, coupled with tons of collectibles. It would be nice to see some online connectivity like Game Center, but it’s not essential.

One problematic aspect is that the game does feel bland after the first set of levels. You can only guide a flying disc through hoops for so long.

Frisbee Forever is a great free game that has a wonderful game design, and payment set-up.
