Radiangames has created quite an iOS game catalog so expectations are high for their newest game. When you make Ballistic SE & Fireball SE, it takes a lot to one up such great iOS game experiences. Well that’s exactly what Luke Schneider has done with Inferno+. The game features the same dual stick shooter controls with great neon graphics and particle effects that Radian is known for. Inferno+ takes the same style, and builds upon it to create a shooter adventure with 40 deluxe levels.
First and foremost you get to experience the supremely precise controls, gorgeous retina graphics that literally shine on your iOS device, and thumping soundtrack. These elements are great in their own right, but only enhance the actual gameplay rather than making the game. The new adventure style is seen in every one of the levels with a past to blast through that includes various enemy collections that still provide the same great action that Ballistic and Fireball are known for. The neat additions include the fact that there are multiple keys to find to unlock doors, as well as hidden regions to discover.
One of the best aspects of the game is that once you start the first level, you’ll want to play through and finish the entire game. There are boss battles along the way as well, and different themes every ten levels. To add to the intricacies of the game, there are some RPG elements allowing you to unlock new abilities, and then level them up. There is really nothing not to like with Inferno+, and that’s one of the best things you can say about any app.
Inferno+ ($2.99, Universal) is a must buy that builds upon the greatness of Fireball SE & Ballistic SE to make one of the best games on the platform, and you should just buy all three. The combination of action and adventure may be unmatched, and it fits so well with the dual stick shooter style and neon graphics.
