APP NAME: Joining Hands

DEVELOPER(S): 10tons

GENRE(S): Puzzle

RELEASE DATE(S): June 7th, 2011

We all want a hand to hold, and that’s the basis for Joining Hands. You drag and drop creatures known as Peablins so that every single hand has another hand to hold. The Peablins come in multiple types that have different amounts of hands. You rearrange each character to solve the puzzle so no one hand is left empty. There are 72 puzzle levels included with each new one introducing new characters that require different strategy.

There are Peablins that have multiple shifting hands, fixed hands, ones you can’t move, and ones that want to be alone. Soon you’ll face each kind of Peablin together, and it will be an extreme challenge of shuffling. To increase the difficulty, there is also a star somewhere on the grid that you want to have a connected Peablin on. Each puzzle offers up a unique challenge that will definitely provide its fair share of head scratching.

You join hands of all the Peablins as they feel stronger in numbers, and their connection scares off the bogey monster. It’s great to see the darkness vanish, and sunshine take over as the Peablins jump for joy when you join all their hands. The game definitely has personality with the facial expressions of each character depending on if their hands are joined or not. The art style is nice with retina and iPad quality graphics built into the one app.

Joining Hands ($2.99, Universal) is worth picking up for some high quality puzzle enjoyment.
