WWDC 18: iOS 12 Introduces Group FaceTime And Memoji

Apple is enhancing communication with iOS 12 starting with improving Animoji. First off, there are four new Animoji characters with ghost, koala, tiger and t-rex, and all Animojis support tongue tracking. That’s not all, there’s also Memoji, which lets you customize your own personal Animoji avatar with a ton of customizable choices. Apple is also offering fun effects in the spirit of Snapchat and Insta-Stories to add filters, stickers, and more to your Memoji in an iMessage chat.

FaceTime is also getting attention in iOS 12 with the new Group FaceTime. You can now expand your FaceTime calls beyond one on one to support up to 32 people simultaneously. Group FaceTime includes intelligent rendering to bring the windows of who’s speaking to the forefront of the screen automatically. You can also add Animojis, sticker packs, and photo effects to your window on the call.
