WWDC 2017: Apple Redesigns The App Store For iOS 11

The App Store is getting a redesign in iOS 11. The first tab is now “Today” to highlight brand new apps as well as the story that goes into them with updates daily. There will be an app of the day, game of the day, and list of the day, as well as the featured stories and tips. The new tab is “Games” for a stand alone place just for highlighted games. The games tab includes a featured section for new in-app purchases. Since there is a Games tab, there is an Apps tab to just focus on apps. Each app has a streamlined product page as well for a more refined look with support for more videos that can autoplay.

The App Store has seen 180 billion downloads to date with $70 billion paid out to developers.
