WWDC 2017: iPad Updated With iOS 11 To Include Drag & Drop, Files, Deluxe Dock, And More

With the brand new 10.5″ iPad Pro unveiled, Apple has returned their attention to iSO 11. The iPad will gain brand new features as part of iOS 11. First off, there’s a brand new dock that can be filled with 18 apps at once. There’s also a predictive area to the right of the dock to resume your activity from your iPhone or Mac. You can swipe up to access the dock from anywhere. There’s also a brand new app switcher that is reminiscent of Mission Control on the Mac with multiple windows to select from at once next to Control Center.

The iPad now supports drag and drop between apps including images, text, and URLs. Simply open multi-tasking view, and you can move items between both apps that are open. Apple has also introduced a new Files app that supports nested folders, spring loading, list view, favorites, search, and tags. You not only can search your iOS storage, but also cloud storage services including Dropbox, Box, OneDrive, and more.
