iPhone X Event: Apple Watch Series 3 Is Official With Cellular Connectivity




The Apple Watch was the first new product to gain attention at the iPhone X event today. First off, the Apple Watch is now the top selling watch brand in the world. Not just smart watches, but watches in general as it surpassed Rolex.

heart rate on the watch face along with a new heart rate app that includes resting heart rate and recovery heart rate. There will also be an elevated heart rate notification for certain levels when you’re not active. Apple is also starting the Apple Heart Study to analyze irregular heart rate in collaboration with Stanford.

Watch OS 4 is coming on September 19th for all Apple Watch customers.

Apple Watch Series 3 is now official with cellular connectivity built in. You can use the same number as your iPhone, but leave your phone behind. Apple Watch Series 3 allows you to receive calls, get messages, access Siri, use maps, connect to third party apps, and access Apple Music with only the Watch. On the inside, there’s a new dual core processor with a 70% speed increase, a new W2 chip for WiFi and Bluetooth, and the display itself is the antenna. There’s also a Barometric Altimeter and GPS chip. There are also new color schemes and bands build upon the existing options.

The Apple Watch without cellular starts at $329 with the new Cellular version starting at $399. Orders begin September 15th with delivery and in store on September 22nd.
